Lightbox Scanning, Jim Ainslie

Jim will share his painstakingly careful lightbox techniques. He will have lightboxes set up so you can go to his house and come away with wonderfully radiant images.

Mark is an excellent photographer, superb digital editor and a great teacher.

Photoshop Elements (by the book): Bill McKenney

Saturday, 1:30pm

Limit 5 People.

This workshop will use lessons from the excellent book Photoshop Elements 4, One-on-One by Deke McClelland. Participants are asked to choose the lessons to be covered prior to the workshop (at registration). This is a hands-on workshop using either PSE 4 or 6, and examples provided with the book. You are welcome to bring your own computer and material but it is not required.

Make a PowerPoint Digital Slide Show: Larry Phinney

Saturday, noon to 2:30pm

Limit 15 People.

Larry Phinney will demonstrate how to put digital photos (jpeg) into a slide show (with titles) and how to control the pace of the show with pauses and timed slides using MS PowerPoint.

This event is to be hosted at Amenla Achen's home. Amenla says people do not need to bring goodies to this workshop as she will provide...pretty nice eh?

Engagement Portrait: Darwin Mulligan

Darwin will show us how to photograph a couple for an engagement portrait. He will share his studio lighting techniques and helpful hints on charging for weddings. Your camera must be able to accept a sync cord for flash. Shooting will be done at ISO100.

Mat Cutting: Zbigniew Gortel

Saturday, 7:00pm

Limit 8 People

Zbyszek (zzzbeesheck) will show us how to measure a print and cut a custom sized mat from mat board stock. Please bring a print to be matted. He will also provide a list of tools required and helpful tips on where to purchase these at a discount. You will leave this workshop knowing how to cut your own mats and save money doing it.

Make a DVD Presentation Using a Mac: Bill van den Born

Thursday, 7:30pm

Limit 8-10 People.

Bill will demonstrate how to make a DVD complete with music using a Mac.
